ENJOY a look inside an upgraded pub now that a major refurbishment project is complete.
Work had been ongoing at The Church Inn, on Newton Road in Lowton, but the £265,000 revamp is now complete.
The venue welcomed customers back through the doors earlier this month, much to the delight of Proper Pubs, the award-winning community operator division of Admiral Taverns.
The Church Inn has been transformed both internally and externally to ensure it appeals to all in the community.
Inside, the pub features a brand-new bar, as well as new furniture, flooring and fixtures and fittings to modernise the pub and elevate the overall look and feel.
Outside, it has been completely repainted and now hosts updated lighting and signage to welcome customers.
In addition, it has been fitted with a brand-new garden to the rear of the pub, for visitors to use during the warmer months.
To celebrate the reopening, customers were treated to a complimentary glass of prosecco followed by an evening of entertainment from local soul singer, T Kay.
Esther Ryan, operator of The Church Inn, said: “Opening night was thoroughly enjoyable for everyone, and the feedback we have already received from residents has been fantastic.
“It was wonderful to welcome all our customers, old and new, into the newly renovated pub and to show off its brand-new look.
“We cannot wait to continue showing the community everything we have to offer at The Church Inn, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in due course.”
Proper Pubs says The Church Inn offers a wide range of drinks, including premium draught beers, ciders, cask ales, an extensive cocktail menu and wine list.
In addition, it has a coffee menu and an array of sweet and savoury bar snacks such as pretzels, popcorn and something sweet to nibble on while enjoying time with friends and family.
The Church Inn also offers a busy schedule of entertainment, including hosting a darts team and live music evenings at the weekends, with plans in the works for weekly quiz nights and regular coffee mornings.
Fundraising days are also planned for causes such as the local kids’ club, charities dedicated to supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis and Macmillan Cancer Support.
Matthew Gurney, operations director for Proper Pubs, added: “The transformation at The Church Inn has been fantastic to watch.
“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the entire team who helped bring this to life.
“On behalf of everyone at Proper Pubs, we wish Esther and Ryan the very best in cementing The Church Inn at the heart of the community.”
