A LARGE emergency service presence attended a crash involving three HGVs where one person was trapped this morning, Monday.
Crews were called to the scene on M62 westbound at around 11.05am this morning.
The incident happened between junction 11, Birchwood, and junction 10, Croft.
It involved three lorries and firefighters worked to free a casualty who was trapped. Once freed, the person was handed into the care of paramedics.
Along with police and ambulance crews, three fire engines attended the scene.
Two lanes were closed while the incident was dealt with.
As of 12pm, a spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: “Crews are clearing the incident to make the scene safe.
“A casualty has been released from one of the vehicles and is the care of paramedics on scene.
“Delays are expected for some time, please find an alternative route.”
