A CAFE and restaurant that caters for all tastes has been going from strength in Newton-le-Willows.

Opened by Newton Fitness owners Mo Zaki and Stephen Tunstall in November 2022, Newton Grill was launched to offer people a selection of freshly-cooked meals and healthy meal preps.

To ensure the business provided the highest-quality food, Mo and Stephen enlisted friend and award-winning chef Gareth Hughes in January 2023, and the business has been thriving and diversifying ever since.

Newton Grill has indoor and outdoor seating, a "very popular" delivery service, and attracts customers due to its wide variety of high-quality meals and special offers

Open seven days a week, the menu includes hearty breakfast options, freshly-cooked burgers, 'dirty' fries, curries, as well as fish, halloumi and vegetarian dishes.

In addition to the business' meal prep service, Newton Grill also offers 'Steak and Wine' nights, huge sharing platters, Sunday roasts, and seafood speciality evenings.

And if this wasn't enough, the business also hosts live music nights to create a vibrant atmosphere and encourage more customers into the Wargrave Road venue.

Gareth, who used to run the Bulls Head pub and worked as a chef at the Pied Bull in Newton, said: "We've been doing really well over the years, and a lot of people came to try us out after I joined, which was really nice as I hadn't worked in Newton for 10 years.

"I'm born and bred in Newton, and 20 years ago the town was nowhere near as busy as it is now, so we want to provide something with quality to attract people away from the high street and I think we have been doing that.

"We know what works and the path we want to go down, so who knows, maybe in another 20 years, Wargrave may look similar to how [Newton] High Street is today."
