A MURDER investigation has once again delayed the inquest into the death of a Warrington man in Dubai.
The inquest of Jerrerd Steven David Winstanley has been adjourned until September as police in the United Arab Emirates continue to investigate a possible murder.
Mr Winstanley was found dead aged 30 in a luxury apartment in the Damax Hills area of Dubai on September 29, 2022.
A medical examiner in Dubai concluded that Mr Winstanley, of Thelwall Lane in Latchford, died of ‘multiple injuries,’ and his body was then repatriated to the UK.
A Home Office pathologist confirmed the Dubai medical examiner’s conclusion after a post-mortem examination at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
His death was then referred to the coroner's service in October 2022 and the case has been delayed multiple times since then.
At Warrington Coroner's Court on Wednesday, senior coroner Jacqueline Devonish formally adjourned the inquest once again.
A review is now set to take place on September 17.
The Warrington Guardian has contacted Dubai Police for an update on the investigation.
