A MAN was taken to hospital after reportedly being found unconscious in the road.

Emergency services attended Priestley Street in Bewsey in the early hours of yesterday morning, Sunday, following reports from a member of the public who found the man.

It is believed that he came to be in the road due to a crash involving an electric bike and a bollard.

The member of the public who found him stayed with him until paramedics arrived and took him to hospital for treatment for ‘minor’ injuries.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 12.10am on Sunday, July 14, police were called to reports of a collision on Priestley Street, Warrington.

“Officers attended and found a Sur-Ron Bike had collided with a bollard.

“The rider, a 28-year-old man from the local area, sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for further checks.”
