POLICE have given details of some of the incidents attended by officers in Warrington last night, Friday.
Cheshire Police says it was a ‘really busy’ evening in the town, with the special constabulary being deployed to several incidents.
Special constables are voluntary officers who have all the powers and authority of regular police constables.
Incidents attended included anti-social behaviour and attempted burglary – and even herding escaped cows.
The force’s special constabulary team said: “A really busy night last night for our team in Warrington supporting A block.
Eight of the team plus the chief dealt with incidents ranging from anti-social behaviour, domestic incidents, attempted burglary and road traffic collisions.
“There was also a foot chase or two around the town centre and even herding several escaped cows.”
