Part One: Year Six leavers photos of the Class of 2024

Year six children across Warrington will be waving goodbye to their primary school teachers for one last time this month as they break up for the summer holidays.

Thousands of youngsters across the town will walk through the school gates at the end of July as the primary school chapter of their education draws to a close.

There will be plenty of tears and cheers at leavers’ assemblies and special celebration events over the next few weeks.

We have visited 68 Warrington primary schools to take pictures of the 91 year six classes of 2024 and put together a 16-page souvenir edition of the Warrington Guardian.

Every school and every year six pupil was invited to take part in the supplement, which features 91 classes from the 68 schools.

All the pictures were taken by our photographer Dave Gillespie - a member of school staff took the photographs at Appleton Thorn Primary School, Gorse Covert Primary School, St Thomas’ CE Primary School, Bruche Primary School, Stockton Heath Primary School and Our Lady’s Catholic Primary School.
