EIGHT weeks of roadworks will start on Manchester Road in Woolston in September.
Warrington Borough Council says the work will allow for carriageway resurfacing.
It will start on September 30 and take place in evening from 7pm until 1am.
It will close the close in stretches from its junction with Woolston Grange Avenue to its junction Gig Lane.
And from Manchester Road for 25metres on Redwood Close; Weir Lane; The Manor; Riversdale.
The alternative route will be via A49 Lythgoes Lane, A49 Winwick Road, A50 Long Lane, A50 Orford Green, A574 Birchwood Way and vice versa.
The council say the restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing.
