NEW Warrington South MP Sarah Hall says ‘I won’t let you down’ after being elected.

The Labour politician won 23,201 votes in the General Election on Thursday, with Conservative Andy Carter getting 11,861 votes.

In a post on social media, Mrs Hall said: “Now that the dust has settled and I have finally caught up on sleep and spent some quality time with my young family, I wanted to personally thank every single person who has put their trust in me.

“I am honoured to say that I have been elected as your MP for Warrington South. This is a duty I don’t take lightly. Serving our town in Westminster and right here in Warrington is my number one priority.

“It has been a privilege to spend the past six weeks with so many of you, knocking on doors in the rain, delivering leaflets under the scorching sun and working late into the evening almost every night.

“I am so proud to have had such a supportive and dedicated team around me, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you.

“I’m ready to get stuck in and hit the ground running, raising key issues identified during the campaign in Parliament.

“Over the coming weeks I will be setting up my office here in Warrington South, building my team and representing you in Parliament.

“I will share details of how to contact me officially in due course. In the meantime, if you would like to get in touch you can do so via the campaign email. team@sarahhall.co.uk.

“Thank you again for putting your trust in me. I won’t let you down.”
