RECKLESS vandals have been rebuked by firefighters for putting lives at risk.
Yobs tried to torch a tree with paper and an aerosol at Lymm Dam.
Firefighters dealt with the arson attack on Saturday, but say they could have been needed to respond to a life threatening incident.
A spokesman for Lymm Fire Station said: “Blue watch attended and from turn out to finish spent 45 minutes dealing with the incident which meant that our appliance wasn’t available for more serious incidents where lives could be in danger.”
