ONE person trapped after a vehicle left the road in a crash has been taken to hospital.
The collision happened on Pennington Lane in Burtonwood at around 9.45pm last night, Friday.
Three fire engines dealt with the incident.
Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to free the casualty who was then taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters were called to a one vehicle collision on Pennington Lane.
“On arrival they found that the vehicle had left the road and there was one casualty trapped.
“Crews released the casualty using specialist cutting equipment who was handed over to the care of paramedics and taken to hospital.”
Firefighters from Warrington, Penketh and Merseyside were called to the scene.
