A MAN was spotted crawling in the road, sparking a police presence.
Officers from Cheshire Police were called to Chester Road at around 10.50pm on Tuesday.
This came following reports from residents of concerns for the safety of a man on the public highway.
Officers attended and led the man to a place of safety, it has been confirmed today, Friday.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At around 10.50pm on Tuesday, July 2, police were called to reports of concerns for the safety of a man on Chester Road, Warrington.
“The caller reported a man who was crawling in the road.
“Officers attended and located the man who was taken to a place of safety.”
