PASSENGERS on board trains heading to Central Station are being offered their own ‘brief encounter’ as part of Warrington Arts Festival.
Whether commuters are after a cheering crowd, their own personal bodyguard or a red carpet experience, artist Lowri Evans will be bringing a full series of bespoke greetings to the railway station so people can arrive in style on Saturday, July 20, and Saturday, July 27.
The idea of ‘I’m Glad You’re Here’ is to give visitors a memorable and unique start to the multi-venue town centre festival and infuse a bit more joy into the process of getting there.
The service is free but requires advance booking so that Lowri can prepare each festival goer’s own fleeting, cinematic moment.
Warrington Arts Festival runs between July 19 and 27 and is being relaunched this year following a huge funding boost of £840,000 from Arts Council England, Warrington Borough Council and Warrington BID.
