RESDIENTS in one area of Warrington say they ‘miss sleep’ following issues with noise.

In what is described as a ‘historic’ issue in Whittle Hall and Kingswood, residents are being woken up in the early hours by ‘racing’ noises.

Those living in the area believe bikers are using the roads as a ‘racetrack’.

And the problems have been especially severe in the past week or so with regular reports through the night.

The noise is described as motorbikes racing and it can be heard throughout the night.

A number of residents have raised the issue in a local community group.

One person said: “Whittle Hall TT races in full swing again. I miss sleep.”

Another said: “It is historic and been happening for years, they use it as a racetrack because of all the loops and stretches of roads and roundabouts.”

One resident also described it as ‘impossible to sleep’ because of the noise.

The noise has been heard around Lingley Green, Park Road, Lane Ends, Barbondale Close and various other areas.

Cheshire Police has been contacted for comment.
