A SWIMMING pool in Warrington has closed its doors due to ‘heating issues’.
The temporary closure at the swimming pool at Broomfields Leisure Centre in Appleton came into place at the weekend following an announcement on the Your Live Wire Facebook page.
And disgruntled parents have spoken out on the annoyance of the closure as children’s swimming lessons have been cancelled until further notice.
One parent commented on the recent announcement, saying: "It is annoying enough that lessons have been cancelled but there is no update on what the chances are of the pool being open again this weekend.
“The site is no longer fit for purpose sadly and needs lots of work going on, especially in the changing rooms."
Meanwhile another added: "This is getting unacceptable, this is three weeks my daughter will have missed her lesson."
The announcement on the Your Live Wire Page stated that the pool is closed ‘due to a heating issue’ and that a team is ‘working diligently to quickly resolve the problem’.
No further update has been given or estimated time for when the pool closure may be in place until.
Warrington Borough Council and Live Wire Warrington have been contacted for a comment.
