A MUSIC legend paid a visit to a village in Warrington this weekend.
Former Stone Roses star Ian Brown, who lives near Lymm, made an appearance at Lymm Festival yesterday, Sunday.
He was welcomed to the Manchester Bonsai Society’s show at Lymm Festival in the Lymm United Reformed Church.
Festivalgoers, stallholders, and organisers were delighted to meet the legend.
The news was shared in a Facebook post by Lymm Festival.
It reads: “If you thought Glastonbury was the only festival to give you surprise appearances from music legends this weekend, think again.
“Great to welcome Stone Roses frontman and Lymm resident Ian Brown to Manchester Bonsai Society’s Lymm Festival show yesterday at Lymm United Reformed Church.”
Lymm Festival took place from June 20 to June 30.
It is a popular event in Lymm’s calendar and each year, residents look forward to welcoming it back.
It first launched back in 1999 and has grown over the years, with it now hosting more than 40 events.
