Malcolm Groarke sent us this picture?
It shows a van from the Holdens firm based in Latchford with their new Bradford van from 1947.
Malcolm also points to the sign written by probably the finest signwriter in Warrington, Frank Povey who lived in Thelwall Lane.
Kolster-Brandes was a TV manufacturer in the mid-twentieth century.
The van is posed by the entrance to the Grammar School, on Grammar School Road, which looks new-built and still without gates fitted. This was around 1940.
