A STOCKTON Heath takeaway has received an improved food hygiene rating after previously being hit with a damning score.

In January this year, the Food Standards Agency issued the Stockton Fryer with a rating of zero.

However, a new owner has since taken owner and has previously spoken of his determination to improve the standards.

In March, owner Sagvan Omer told the Warrington Guardian: “When I got there, it was very dirty to be honest, and I’ve changed a lot – I’m changing everything.

“I get there at 2pm and finish cleaning at four o’clock in the morning.”

Now, following a recent inspection by the Food Standards Agency, the StocktonS Fryer has received an improve score out three out of five.

In each category – hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety – the takeaway was awarded generally satisfactory.
