Daniel Jackson, of Lionel Road, Eltham, was jailed for two year and four months at Chester Crown Court on Thursday.

And he tried to smuggle the drugs into the Daresbury music festival back in 2022 in a rather unusual way.

He was stopped by a drug dog trying to enter the side and police found Jackson, 29, was carrying a hairbrush that had been tampered with to allow for drugs to be hidden inside.

A quantity of empty snap bags was recovered from the hairbrush and Jackson was subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

He was released under investigation while enquiries continued. During this time, an analysis of his phone revealed evidence of Jackson’s involvement in drug activity.

Jackson was later charged with possession with intent to supply.

Following the sentencing, DC Neil Fleming said: “Jackson had no option but to plead guilty to the evidence stacked against him, and now he is facing the consequences behind bars.

“I hope his sentence sends a clear message to those who think they can travel to Cheshire to sell illegal drugs – you will be prosecuted and held accountable for your actions.”
