THIS outdoor swimming pool in Cheshire which is less than an hour away from Warrington was revealed as a hidden gem last year.

Nantwich Brine Pool was described as the place to beat the crowds and stay cool last summer after it was named as one of the quietest outside pools in the UK.

This meant it provided one of the best outdoor swimming experiences in the UK.

It is definitely a spot worth bearing in mind during this week's hot weather.

The outdoor pool first opened to the public on July 1, 1935, and is believed to be the only inland brine pool in Britain today,

The poolwater temperature is now maintained at 74 degrees F and through solar gain is usually much warmer.

Bath retailer Showers to You compiled the list in 2023, which was based on the number of hashtags used.

At the top of the list was Jesus Green Outdoor Pool in Cambridge with three hashtags followed by Parliament Hill Lido in London with six hashtags.

Meanwhile in ninth and tenth place were New Cumnock Pool in East Ayrshire with 184 hashtags and Droitwich Spa Lidl in Worcester with 194.
