IT is that time of year.
Warrington Walking Day is returning on Friday.
The history of the special day dates back to the 19th century.
It started in the 1830s and has since become a highlight in the town’s calendar.

On Friday, hundreds of people will line the streets to watch a procession including churches, schools, and groups from across the town.
So ahead of the day, here’s how the weather is looking according to the Met Office.
- 7am – 14C – sun, cloud, and chances of light showers
- 10am – 15C – sun, cloud, and chances of light showers
- 1pm – 16C – sun, cloud, and chances of light showers
- 4pm – 17C – cloudy
- 7pm – 17C - cloudy
