A PRIMARY school has been given the go-ahead to extend.

St Margaret’s Church of England Primary School applied for planning permission in May.

The plans, which were submitted to Warrington Borough Council, show that part of the school’s building will be extended towards the rear of the premises.

Now, the scheme for the Orford school has been approved by planners.

Two year three classrooms are the location for the extension and will each have at least 14 square meters extra space if the plans are approved.

A floor plan submitted with the application shows that internal remodelling will also be carried out on the two classrooms, including the removal of two store cupboards.

Instead, two cloak units will be built inside the rooms at the School Road building.

The application also states that the extension will be altered to match the style and materiality of the previously extended buildings throughout the school.
