A DRIVER has been released after he was arrested following a crash which left two boys hospitalised.
The incident happened at around 5.45pm on Sunday on Greenwood Crescent.
It involved a crash between a motorbike and a car and a huge emergency service presence attended the scene, including an air ambulance.
Two boys, a 17-year-old who was the motorbike rider, and a 15-year-old, who was a pillion passenger, were taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident.
On Monday, officers confirmed they had arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of drug driving and driving without due care and attention in relation to the incident.
However as of today, Wednesday, a Cheshire Police spokesperson confirmed that the man has since been released under investigation.
Further enquiries are ongoing.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Anyone who witnessed the collision and could help the investigation should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via www.cheshire.police.uk//tell-us quoting IML 1848907.”
