SUMMER may have finally arrived in Warrington after a disappointing start, with temperatures set to soar in the next week.
It will be music to one’s ears to hear that weather forecasters have predicted a heatwave is on its way and temperatures in the region are estimated to peak at 24 degrees Celsius in the coming days, according to BBC Weather.
Prepare to bring the suncream and sun hats out starting from next Tuesday, June 25, where temperatures in Warrington are set to be recorded at highs of 24 degrees Celsius, with weather to be sunny with a gentle breeze.
This is followed by promising highs of 23 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and Thursday before a slight drop to 21 degrees Celsius on Friday.
The weekend starting on Saturday, June 29, also is predicted to have hot temperatures of 21 degrees Celsius, with the same high temperatures set to follow into the next week.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “For most it will be dry throughout, and likely to turn increasingly warm as we move into next week.
“There is a chance that this could persist for much of the rest of the period, turning increasingly hot, however by mid-next week we see a large range of outcomes. Some of which allow for a return of much cooler conditions and northerly winds for the latter part of next week.
“However the trend toward much warmer conditions is preferred for now.”
