A SUSPECT is to appear before the courts having been charged with dozens of allegations of shoplifting.
Paul Morris, of Penketh, has been charged with 39 separate charges of theft from a shop – of goods worth thousands of pounds collectively.
The 36-year-old, of Rossall Road, is accused of committing the vast majority of thefts from stores in Warrington.
However, the charges also encompass multiple allegations of thefts from two One Stop shops in the Birmingham area between July 2023 and January this year.
The Warrington stores, mainly Co-op, but also Morrisons, Tesco, Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Lidl, were allegedly targeted between January and June this year.
The total value of the shoplifting accusations is £3,830.05.
Morris was due to make a first appearance in relation to the charges before Chester Magistrates’ Court this morning, Monday.
