POLICE issued a dispersal order in Lymm last night, Friday.

Officers say the decision was made following reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.

The order allows officers to remove individuals if necessary to prevent disorder.

It came into place at 10.55pm last night and is effective for 24 hours.

The affected areas include Pepper Street, Rectory Lane, Greenwood Road, Longbutt Lane, The Crescent, Orchard Avenue, and their surroundings.

A number of residents took to Facebook to praise the decision.

“Was good to see multiple police cars patrolling at 9pm last night in Lymm,” said one resident.

Another said: “It is a nightmare and needed doing. The village isn’t the same anymore because of out of control yobs.”
