THREE teenagers – two aged just 14 – have been arrested after a worker was assaulted at a town centre car park.

Shortly before 5pm on Thursday, May 30, police were called to reports of an assault at Time Square Car Park.

It was reported that a small group of youths had assaulted a member of staff and had made off from the scene.

The victim, a 32-year-old man, suffered minor injuries during the incident.

It was captured in full on CCTV and, after reviewing the footage, three youths were identified by investigating Cheshire Police officers.

Two 14-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy have since been arrested on suspicion of affray.

They have been released on conditional bail.

Inspector Christopher Webster said: “Firstly, I would like to reassure members of the public and anyone who may have seen what happened unfold, that this is an isolated incident.

“Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident, and we hope this will bring people some reassurance that we are committed to tackling behaviour of this nature, and it will not be tolerated.

“Anyone with any concerns about crime in their community can call Cheshire Police on 101.
