NEW electric vehicle charging bays have opened in Time Square multi-storey car park.
Zest, which is the UK’s fastest growing investor-operator of public access electric vehicle charging infrastructure, has been selected as the new charging operator for Time Square by Warrington Borough Council.
In total, Zest will be providing 56 charging bays in the car park, most of which are for visitors to use when they need to top up.
Four rapid charging bays are also being provided for those needing a faster recharge, and dedicated accessible bays will be situated on the ground floor.
The first 25 bays are already open, and the rest are due to open throughout this month.
“People want to switch to electric vehicles, but they need to see abundant and reliable charging infrastructure being rolled out,” said Robin Heap, CEO and founder of Zest.
“Working in partnership with forward-looking local authorities like Warrington, we’re building at a scale that inspires confidence in the electric vehicle transition and makes a tangible contribution to net zero.”
