A PRIMARY school has been targeted by heartless criminals.

Sometime between 4pm on Thursday, May 30, and 7.30am on Friday, May 31, thieves broke into a storage container at Broomfields Junior School in Appleton.

Tools and copper piping were then stolen from the container located at the Bridge Lane site.

Cheshire Police has confirmed that it is aware of the incident, and it is now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

PC Will Austin said: “I would urge anyone who spotted any suspicious activity in the area around these times, or in the run-up to the thefts, to contact the police.

“The same goes for anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage that may help us identify the suspects.”
