WARRINGTON is a beauty hotspot.

The town was ranked one of the top ten places in the UK for hair, nail and massage appointments, according to a recent survey.

From dodgy haircuts to wonky nail extensions, there are countless tales of beauty mishaps for customers searching for their ideal salon and therapist or technician.

Decisions are often made based on price and service quality as well as reviews, ratings and word of mouth, but choosing a place to make an appointment can also come down to what is available.

A recent study by Curry’s uncovered the UK’s beauty hotspot destinations analysing the offerings of hair, nail and massage locations listed on Treatwell compared to the population of those areas.

It also revealed the average rating of the service to crown the best places to live if you are a beauty buff – and Warrington came 10th.

In our Best of 2024 competition, which was launched in April, we have already crowned Warrington’s Best for Hair and Best for Nails.

Kate Lucy Hair Studio on Gainsborough Road is officially Best for Hair this year with Maisie Beck taking the Best for Nails 2024 title.

Treatwell is an international company on a mission to digitally revolutionise the hair and beauty industry.

The business works with more than 40,000 salon partners across 13 countries, processing more than five million bookings each month.

Top of the list was Salford and Edinburgh – each coming joint first – ranking highly when it came to their hair and nail offerings with Edinburgh coming out top for its quality and quantity of hair locations in the city with an average rating of 4.92 for its hair salons.

Both cities also scored well for massage with Salford ranking third and Edinburgh coming in fourth.

Warrington rounded out the top ten placing 16th for hair, ninth for nails and sixth for massage leaving the town 10th overall.
