A POLICE presence was spotted in Stockton Heath last night, Tuesday.
Officers were called to the village at around 5.20pm following reports of a disturbance on London Road.
A caller reported that an unknown man had been seen intoxicated and that he was using threatening and abusive language towards members of the public.
Officers attended the scene and conducted a search of the area.
But the man could not be located, a Cheshire Police spokesperson has confirmed.
A number of police cars were spotted in the village, as well as officers on foot.
