POLICE have named a suspect charged following a raid on a large cannabis farm.
Officers from Cheshire Police carried out the raid at an address on Ludlow Close in Padgate yesterday morning, Tuesday.
Having executed the warrant, officers recovered 453 cannabis plants from inside the property, with these given an estimated value of around £450,000.
A suspect was arrested and has now been charged with illegally abstracting electricity and cultivating cannabis.
He is due to make a first appearance in relation to the charges before Warrington Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “Detectives have charged a man with drugs offences following a warrant in Warrington.
“At around 8.45am on Tuesday, June 4, officers conducted a raid at an address on Ludlow Close, Warrington.
“A number of items were recovered from the property and a man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
“Francesco Vrapi has since been charged with illegally abstracting electricity and cultivating cannabis.
“The 30-year-old, of Ludlow Close, has since been remanded in custody to appear before Warrington Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, June 5.”
