THERE’S just a few days left to tell us who you think should win one of this year’s Warrington Guardian Education Awards.

We want to hear about star students, terrific teachers and super support staff as well as unsung heroes, top teams and outstanding achievers – but you’ve only got until Sunday, June 16 to get your nominations in.

Our Warrington Guardian Education Awards are back for 2024 and promise to be the best yet.

Thirteen awards will celebrate schools, nurseries and colleges across the town, honouring pupils and students, teachers and teaching assistants, and classes and teams.

We want to highlight everything that’s good about Warrington’s educators, shining a spotlight on innovation and best practice across the town.

There’s pupil of the year for primary and secondary, class or team of the year and headteacher of the year as well as awards for teachers and teaching assistants.

We will also be handing out an outstanding achievement award, an unsung hero honour and an innovation award.

We want to hear about all the educational heroes working in schools across Warrington.

Maybe you know a school that should be named Warrington’s School of the Year or you want to tell us about a support worker or non-teaching member of staff who would be the perfect recipient of our Unsung Hero Award.

Perhaps you’ve heard about a star pupil at a local primary or secondary school who deserves the Pupil of the Year title or your child’s headteacher has gone above and beyond over the past 12 months, warranting a nomination for Headteacher of the Year.

Entries are invited from teachers, parents, governors, pupils and anyone with knowledge of a particular school or education establishment.

All schools are welcome to enter as long as they are based in the borough.

Individuals or institutions can enter more than one category, but this should be made clear on the entry form.
