A CAR with L Plates crashed into a lamppost on Morrisons supermarket car park in Stockton Heath.
Police were called to reports of a collision involving a Nissan Micra on the car park in Greenalls Avenue at around 9.30am on Saturday.
The bumper and front nearside wheel were damaged after the vehicle mounted a paved kerb and struck a lamppost.
A large section of the car park was cordoned off for several hours.
A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At 9.30am on Saturday, June 1, police were made aware of a collision involving a car and a lamppost in a supermarket car park in Greenalls Avenue, Warrington.
“The matter was referred to Highways, while Cheshire Fire attended to put a cordon in place as a precaution.”
A Morrisons spokesman said: "There was an incident in the car park on Saturday morning but thankfully no one was hurt.
"A small area of the car park was cordoned off but it is now fully opened."
