THE worst train station in Warrington for delays has been revealed.

According to fresh figures, 67 per cent of services at Warrington Bank Quay were delayed over the past three months.

It has been ranked in the bottom 100 for performance out of 2,628 stations, with just 37 per cent of trains on time.

It received an overall performance score of 74.

This according to the website Ontime trains which ranks train stations across the country by passenger count and performance – including the number of delays and cancellations.

The figures are worked out over a 12-week period.

One station that actually had more delays or cancellations than Bank Quay is Warrington West where only 66 per cent of services run on time.

While Sankey for Penketh had the least number of delays and cancellations, with 42 per cent of services here on time.
