A MOTORIST has been clocked driving at more than double the speed limit.
Officers from Cheshire Police have been carrying out speed monitoring on Blackbrook Avenue in Padgate.
In place yesterday, Thursday, officers noted 48 speeders on the 30mph road – including one driving at a staggering 68mph.
Nuisance off-road bikes were also spotted, with intelligence gathered.
The force’s Poplars and Hulme Police team said: “PCSO Redshaw carried out speed enforcement on Blackbrook Avenue yesterday afternoon, Thursday.
“There were 48 activations, with a top speed of 68mph in a 30mph zone
“While carrying out the speed enforcement, we also witnessed two off-road bikes riding up and back down this road.
“We have gathered more information and intelligence regarding these bikes.”
