A COACH set on fire on the M56 near Stretton.
Fire crews rushed to the scene of the blaze on the eastbound side of the carriageway at around 8.35pm yesterday, Wednesday.
Three fire engines from Lymm, Warrington and Stockton Heath attended the fire which saw a coach in flames.
Firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the flames.
Cheshire Fire Service confirmed no passengers were on board the vehicle.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the temperature of the vehicle before it was deemed safe.
Cheshire Police closed a section of the carriageway while the incident was being dealt with.
