GRAPPENHALL Walking Day is set to host an exciting Bake Off competition as part of the festival, challenging budding young chefs to cook up a storm.
St Wilfrid’s Church and St Wilfrid’s Primary School in Grappenhall will be hosting the Bake Off competition on Saturday, June 22.
Budding young chefs from St Wilfrid’s Primary School and the surrounding area will have the chance to compete for the title of Star Baker across four different categories.
Children in Reception can compete with Rice Krispie cakes, Traybakes can be entered for those in Key Stage One and Pupils in Key Stage Two can compete ‘fruity bakes’.
A fourth category, the Showstopper, is open to anyone over the age of 12 and should be inspired by a favourite summer holiday.
The competition will be judged by Sarah Young, from Flossie Makes and Bakes in Thelwall, and a senior member of the St Wilfrid’s congregation.
All entries should be brought to the reception building at St Wilfrid’s Primary School on Church Lane on the morning of the event before judging starts at 11.30am.
A prize and certificate await the winner of Star Baker from each category.
