POLICE have launched a manhunt for a wanted Warrington man who could be in Thailand.

Luke Atkin, of Lower Walton, is wanted by North Yorkshire Police after he failed to attend court.

The 36-year-old, who is previously of York, was charged with conspiracy to supply cocaine and failed to appear at Bradford Crown Court for his trial.

The defendant was found guilty in his absence last week, and the court has issued a warrant for his arrest.

Law enforcement officers believe Atkin could have fled abroad, with one possibility being Thailand.

Anyone who knows of his whereabouts is urged to report it to the police.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “Wanted by the courts, do you know where Luke Atkin is?

“We are appealing to anyone who has seen Atkin or knows where he is now to contact us.

“It is believed that he has travelled abroad and may be in Thailand.

“We urge anyone who has any information about his whereabouts to call us on 101 and pass information for incident number 12240074511.”

“If you prefer not to speak to the police, you can pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers online via https://orlo.uk/yJ9Qk or by calling 0800 555 111.”
