A WOMAN has appeared before the courts after leaving a restaurant in Stockton Heath without paying.
Joann O’Neill was initially arrested on suspicion of breach of the peace following an incident at an eaterie on London Road in Stockton Heath.
This happened on May 7 when officers were called to reports of a customer refusing to pay their bill and making threats towards staff.
The 54-year-old was arrested in relation to this incident, but a Cheshire Police spokesperson has since confirmed that she was not charged due to the victim not wishing to make a complaint.
However, O’Neill, of Patterdale Walk, Timperley, has now been charged with one count of making off without payment in relation to a separate offence at Bavette Steakhouse in Stockton Heath.
This bill was to the value of £51.85 and this incident happened on March 2.
O’Neill appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on May 9 in relation to this offence and she will next appear before Warrington Magistrates’ Court in June.
Court documents also reveal that O’Neill has been charged with another count of making off without payment at another restaurant in Warrington town centre.
They state that this happened at ASK Italian on May 8, with the unpaid bill costing a value of £60.
