THE Slug and Lettuce in Stockton Heath will close its doors for the final time tonight.

The pub first opened on Victoria Square, London Road, exactly 10 years ago and will call last orders one last time this evening, Friday.

The venue is closing and will be revamped, reopening as The Phoenix Bar & Grill next week on Thursday, June 6.

A spokesperson for pub said: "We are sad to share that we will be closing The Slug and Lettuce.

"Stockton Heath - it's been a dream and you've been fabulous.

"We'd love to see you one last time before we close the doors."

A spokesperson from Stonegate Pubs said “The Slug & Lettuce in Stockton Heath will close on Friday, May 24, making way for the exciting launch of The Phoenix Bar & Grill on Thursday, June 6.

“The newly revamped venue will feature a diverse, foodie-focused menu including tapas, pizzas, and street food.

“Guests can also look forward to live music events, bottomless brunches and a variety of other activities, positioning The Phoenix Bar & Grill as a vibrant community hub.

“Aimed at catering to all age groups, the establishment is eager to welcome the local community with its fresh, new offerings.”
