ST Rocco’s Hospice has revealed it will be closing one of its shops in Warrington.

The Bewsey facility, which provides free care for people with life-limiting illnesses, operates a number of retail outlets across the town.

These retail outlets not only support sustainability, but also allow St Rocco’s to raise vital funds to help pay for hospice care.

The hospice has now decided to close its Lovely Lane store in order to help to maximise funds to support patient care.

The shop will close at the end of May to coincide with the end of the current lease.

A spokesperson for St Rocco’s said: “To make sure that this return is maximised into the future, the team have been reviewing retail operations across the town and have developed a long-term plan to increase the contribution that they can deliver to St Rocco’s Hospice.

“St Rocco’s have a team of fantastic volunteers that do a brilliant job to support the hospice and they are grateful for everything that they do. All volunteers will be given the chance to continue their amazing support to help run the other shops in Warrington.”

The hospice has also thanked the Lovely Lane store’s customers over the years.
