A TALENTED pianist is coming to Stockton Heath for a special performance.

Ethan Loch, who was born blind, has been playing the piano since the age of 18 months.

The 19-year-old, from Scotland, is perhaps best known for winning the 2022 BBC Young Musician Keyboard Category final.

He was described as being able to find orchestral colours on the piano like no one else can.

Alongside his long list of accolades, Ethan was also featured on a list of the top 100 people to watch in 2022.

He has also made appearances with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

And now, the pianist and composer is coming to Stockton Heath where he will be performing music by Debussy, Ravel, and Haydn, as well as some of his own compositions.

“We are very fortunate to have this young and extremely talented pianist and composer play for us at the start of what promises to be a very successful musical career,” a spokesperson for the event said.

Ethan will be performing at St Thomas’ Church on London Road on May 29 at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £15 with concessions for students and under 18s and can be bought by phoning Janet Gould on 07814 243347 or by emailing info@stocktonheathmusicsociety.co.uk
