TRAFFIC was stopped on the M62 in Warrington this afternoon after ducks ended up on the carriageway.
At around 12pm this afternoon, Tuesday, animals were reported to be on the eastbound carriageway between junction 11, Birchwood, and junction 12, Eccles.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson has confirmed that ducks were on the side of the motorway.
All traffic was held for around five minutes while National Highways dealt with the incident.
Traffic has now returned to normal on this stretch of the motorway.
