IF a stroll around an artisan market in the sunshine is your ideal way to spend a weekend, then you’re in luck, because one is coming to Great Sankey very soon.

New to the scene, D&D Artisan Markets is preparing to host another pop-up event at the site of popular venue Chapelford Farm Pub in early June.

Business owners and mother and daughter duo Diane and Caitlin Reynolds are residents of Great Sankey and have been market traders for several years prior to acting on their own dream of running an artisan market brand.

The pair have stayed close to their roots, running a handful of successful markets so far in Great Sankey and Westbrook – the next set to take place on Saturday, June 8.

A variation of stalls selling handmade goods will be available at the venue based on Santa Rosa Blvd, along with music food and drink.

The market will begin at 11am and stay open until 5pm.

Diane and Caitlin, who hosted their first official artisan market in December last year, are hoping to be the game changers for up-and-coming small businesses who want to break out onto the market stall scene.

Speaking to the Warrington Guardian previously about their goals for their business, the pair said: “We want to encourage new traders to come to the markets we organise. We want to make it a friendly community for new traders.”

“You find lovely people along the way who have given up jobs to be there. We want to give them a chance.”
