CHEERS!
Ice cold cocktails were on order this week as we asked where in Warrington serves the best classic and modern drinks.
Whether it’s a cold mojito in the sunshine or a warming Old Fashioned in front of the fire, we wanted to know your favourite cocktail and where we can get one.
Do you prefer a pina colada or a margarita? Does a Long Island Iced Tea take your fancy or would you rather have an espresso martini?
In honour of World Cocktail Day, which took place last Saturday, May 13, and after launching our new Best of 2024 competition in the Warrington last month, we wanted to hear about the venues the town that serve the best cocktails.
In our first Best of 2024 category we were looking at the best hair salons, barbers and independent stylists in the area followed by the area’s most delicious pies and then picture-perfect nails.
Kate Lucy Hair Studio is Warrington’s Best for Hair, Tomlins Bakehouse took the Best for Pies title for the second year in a row and By Maisie Beck is officially the town’s Best for Nails.
Last weekend, readers were voting for their favourite place to go on a Sunday for a traditional roast dinner.
Next up, cocktails were the order of the day and we have shortlisted a top 12, who will battle it out to be named the best in Warrington.
But now we need your help to choose an overall Best for Cocktails winner from our top 12.
There are three ways to vote:
1. Search for the Best for Cocktails shortlists post on our Warrington Guardian Facebook or X (Twitter) pages and comment under the post with the name of your winner = 1 vote
2. Name your favourite in the comments section on this article via our website = 2 votes
3. Purchase a copy of this week’s Warrington Guardian (Thursday, May 23 edition) and fill in the entry form = 5 votes
(*NB For newspaper entries, email a screenshot of the completed entry form to heidi.summerfield@newsquest.co.uk – please note that only original copies will be accepted. More than one entry can be submitted per person but you will be asked to provide your own unique reference code for each entry to avoid duplication eg if your name is Smith you may wish to write Smith123 or HS21! as your code. You will need to provide a different code for each entry submitted. For full terms and conditions go to Newsquest.co.uk/terms-conditions)
Voting officially opens today, Thursday, and closes at midnight on Sunday, May 26 and we will be announcing the winner next week.
