THE sun shone for Lymm May Queen Festival on Saturday - kicking off a summer of events in Warrington.
Large crowds enjoyed the traditional parade through the village.
However there was a different route as waterlogging meant the May Queen Field was off limits.
The usual events on the field were held on Davies Way Car Park.
This year's May Queen was Eleanor McDonald.
