A LUCKY Cheshire resident has been made a millionaire.

A mystery man, known only as Mr P, has won £1 million in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker.

The special draw on Friday (April 26) saw 10 lucky people become millionaires in one night.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said, “Wow incredible news for Mr P who has become a millionaire overnight after winning this amazing prize. Huge congratulations!”

Mr P, who played via the National Lottery website, would’ve paid just £2.50 for the winning ticket.

As well as giving you a chance to win the jackpot, which currently stands at £14 million, tickets for the EuroMillions also automatically enter you for the UK Millionaire Maker, with one guaranteed winner every week.

However, the special draw at the end of April had 10 winners to celebrate the first promotion under the management of Allwyn - the new lottery operator which took Camelot’s place in February.

Each week more than eight million players win on The National Lottery’s range of games while also generating £30 million for community projects across the UK.

Interactive winners then have the opportunity to release their names, remain anonymous or like Mr P did, release some details through partial publicity.
