A LARGE brown rabbit that was moments away from being put to sleep after being attacked by a cat, is now happy, healthy and looking for its forever home.
The 'strong' and 'confident' rabbit named George is two and a half years old and has already been through a terrifying ordeal in his short lifespan.
And Warrington Animal Welfare, who are currently caring for the adorable bunny, have made a heartfelt appeal to find him a worthy new home.
Detailing his journey to the shelter, a spokesperson from WAW said: "George was taken to a vets to be put to sleep after he was attacked by a cat and the owner could not afford to get him treated.
"He is a strong confident boy who enjoys nothing more than the feel of grass under his paws, he would be best suited to a home with only rabbits."
The appeal, posted on the shelter's Facebook page was met with warmth from residents describing him as 'cute' and 'gorgeous'.
