A POPULAR village event will take centre stage this weekend.
Lymm May Queen, which is often a traditional family highlight in the village's calendar, will still hold its usual fun fair, stalls, concessions, parade, and crowning on Saturday.
But this year, it will take place at Lymm Library's main car park off Davies Way.
After six months of organising, the committee has been forced to change the location due to the condition of the Lymm May Queen field where the event usually takes place. It is waterlogged and not suitable for the occasion.
Lymm May Queen will take place on Saturday, with the parade starting at 12pm from Pepper Street where it will make its way through the village to Davies Way.
The crowning will then be at 1.30pm, with entertainment to follow.
There will be free parking at Lymm Rugby Club with a shuttle to the village.
